The footwear brand Vans has presented 'This Projects Are Ads for Creativity' , a new project that focuses on artists and aims to bring new forms of creativity to the public in an original way. Drawing, sculpture, music videos, digital animations, illustrations... The Vans family has paid its particular tribute to the world of art and to each person and talent behind a plastic, graphic or any other work. Through this campaign, Vans wanted to focus on the concept of creativity itself, with the intention of encouraging artists to bring their ideas to life through the discipline in which they are experts.
Presented as a digital portfolio , which will increase throughout the year, this initiative shares works by artists from around the world. For example, some of the documents that can be found on the web are the colorful paintings of Rewina Beshue , who likes Phone Number List to explore themes such as time or space; Annabell Lee 's Painted Pillows ; DIY in a darkroom by photographer Anthony Acosta ; the wood carving of Start From Zero ; the fiberglass sculpture by illustrator and cartoonist Alex Jenkins or the triptych of boards by Eloise Dörr , a skater and artist whose pieces often feature skater characters. It should be remembered that Vans previously carried out a campaign starring female skaters .
Instead of creating advertising that talks about creativity, we wanted this project to be a vehicle to show your true physical form. “We just had creatives from all over the world make things,” said Rob Teague , global creative director at Vans. “Drawings, paintings, music, sculptures, videos, skate spots, animations, weird surfboards… Instead of something conventional, we wanted to go out of the way and support a diversity of people and their different creative outcomes. “That's what Vans is about, not just talking about creative expression, but actively championing it,” he continued.
